Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard new suppliers and contract manufacturers per ISO 13485 approved supplier list requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and lead times — balancing cost, quality, and supply continuity.
- Develop and maintain a second-source strategy for critical components to reduce single-source dependency.
- Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve supplier-side delays or quality issues.
- Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews and onsite audits against defined quality standards.
- Handle import/export documentation, customs coordination, and logistics for internationally sourced materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with electronic component distributors, PCBA/EMS partners, and mechanical part vendors.
Supply Chain Operations
- Create and manage capacity plans aligned with sales forecasts, coordinating with contract manufacturers on production scheduling.
- Provide rolling forecasts to CMs and ensure quality and on-time delivery against production timelines.
- Maintain and track COGS for all products; reconcile against actual production order costs.
- Assess and proactively mitigate supply chain risks — component shortages, geopolitical disruptions, lead time volatility.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, yield rates, and cost drivers across the product portfolio.
- Own inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods without excess.
Compliance & Systems
- Take ownership of procurement-related SOPs under ISO 13485 and drive timely updates as processes evolve.
- Ensure all procurement and supplier records are audit-ready and compliant with QMS requirements.
- Participate in investigations of process deviations, non-conformances, and CAPAs related to incoming materials or supplier quality.
- Set up and drive ERP adoption across procurement and inventory management workflows (not a greenfield implementation — configuring and operationalizing for procurement use).
- Build and maintain dashboards for budget vs. actuals, inventory tracking, raw material availability, and supplier lead time trends.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain, with at least 3 years in medical devices, EMS, or electronics manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with electronic component sourcing, PCBA/EMS procurement, and working with contract manufacturers.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of managing supplier relationships across India and international markets.
- Working knowledge of ISO 13485, supplier qualification processes, and QMS documentation requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems (implementation or heavy operational use) and comfort building reports/dashboards from procurement data.
- Analytical mindset — comfortable with BOMs, costing sheets, lead time analysis, and inventory math.
- Willingness to travel for supplier audits and CM visits.
