Role Purpose
We are looking for a compassionate, confident, and patient-focused LASIK Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective LASIK patients through their vision correction journey—from the initial enquiry to surgery scheduling and post-operative follow-up.
As the primary point of contact for patients considering LASIK, you will educate them about available refractive procedures, address their concerns, coordinate consultations, and ensure an exceptional patient experience while helping them make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective patients on LASIK and other refractive vision correction procedures.
- Explain treatment options, benefits, limitations, expected outcomes, risks, and post-operative care in a clear and empatic manner.
- Build trust and maintain strong relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Coordinate appointments for consultations, diagnostic evaluations, surgery, and follow-up visits.
- Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care.Follow up with prospective patients to address queries and support their decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the Hospital Information System (HIS) or CRM.
- Monitor counselling conversion rates and contribute towards departmental targets.
- Ensure a superior patient experience by maintaining high standards of service and communication.
- Handle patient concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Educate patients on financing options, payment plans, and package details wherever applicable.
- Stay updated on advancements in refractive surgery technologies and hospital services.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Candidates with qualifications in Healthcare Management, Life Sciences, Optometry, Nursing, or Allied Health Sciences will be preferred
- .1–5 years of experience in patient counselling, preferably in ophthalmology, refractive surgery, healthcare, or hospitals.
- Freshers with exceptional communication skills and a strong aptitude for patient counselling may also be considered.
