About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with various types of cancers using evidence-based systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy.
The role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and supportive care teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric oncology care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and stage patients with solid and hematological malignancies.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on national and international clinical guidelines.
- Administer and supervise chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and supportive treatments.
- Monitor treatment response and manage therapy-related complications and adverse effects.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumour board meetings to formulate optimal treatment strategies.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, potential side effects, and survivorship.
- Coordinate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, palliative care specialists, and nursing teams for integrated cancer care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and electronic medical records.Ensure adherence to infection control, chemotherapy safety protocols, and hospital quality standards.

- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, academic activities, and continuing medical education.
- Contribute to patient awareness programmes and community outreach initiatives where required.
Eligibility
- DM/DNB in Medical Oncology from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Fellowship or specialized training in oncology will be an added advantage.
- Freshly qualified specialists as well as experienced consultants are encouraged to apply.
