Job Purpose
To plan, design, execute, and oversee all works required for setting up a dialysis center within an operational hospital or stand alone, ensuring compliance with medical standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution
– Lead MEP planning for dialysis unit setup within an existing hospital environment.
– Coordinate with architects, biomedical teams, and hospital management.
– Prepare project timelines and ensure execution within deadlines.
2. Electrical Systems
– Design and implement power distribution for dialysis machines and critical equipment.
– Ensure uninterrupted power supply (UPS, DG backup).
– Ensure proper earthing, load balancing, and electrical safety compliance.
3. Plumbing & Water Systems
– Design RO water system layout specific to dialysis requirements.
– Ensure proper drainage, piping, and water quality standards.
– Coordinate installation of water treatment systems.
4. HVAC & Ventilation
– Plan and implement HVAC systems maintaining required temperature, humidity, and infection control.
– Ensure compliance with healthcare standards for air quality.
5. Vendor & Contractor Management
– Identify, onboard, and manage MEP contractors and vendors.
– Monitor work quality, progress, and adherence to specifications.
6. Compliance & Safety
– Ensure adherence to NABH, biomedical, and local regulatory standards.
– Ensure adherence to local and state bylaws on health services and LTO
– Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
7. Coordination & Reporting
– Liaise with hospital teams to minimize disruption during installation.
– Provide regular project updates to management.
8. Testing & Commissioning
– Oversee testing, commissioning, and validation of all MEP systems.
– Ensure readiness for clinical operations.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
– 4–8 years of experience in hospital or healthcare infrastructure projects.
– Experience in dialysis center setup preferred.
